A Victorian bayside cottage in one of Melbourne’s most-prestigious suburbs built in 1890 has become home to a lasting love story.
Television producer Minnie Parry and her partner Chris fully renovated their dream home together in Brighton, after first meeting on a work trip in Fiji years earlier.
Their relationship grew with their four-bedroom, three-bathroom home at 34 Durrant St, which has been progressively extended and had a number of design tweaks as the couple’s lives changed.

The duo purchased the home in 2017 for $1.963m and commenced a grand extension in 2019.
Now they’ve decided to move on from the property, listing it for sale with $3.2m-$3.5m price hopes.
Ms Parry’s work as a MasterChef producer also led to several past contestants, and former judge George Calombaris visiting the home and it’s elite kitchen.
Standout features throughout the abode include Venetian plaster, Brodware taps, hardwood floors, hydronic heating and even a Vintec wine fridge.
The home has been featured in various media outlets over the years, including Inside Out Magazine and its affiliate Homes to Love.
The property also includes the potential for rear parking via a laneway.
Kay and Burton Bayside sales consultant Tommy McIntosh said the Victorian exterior was charming to buyers, while the vast extension added contemporary style to the residence.
“The vendors have made this home immaculate – good turnkey properties like this one sell,” Mr McIntosh said.
“The space of the land is used so well. One of my favourite features is the falcon oven, built to spill out into the dining area.
“When Minnie had her first daughter, Pearl, the first night she spent in the renovated home was when she returned from the hospital, so the home holds a lot of sentimental value to the vendors.”
Expressions of interest for 34 Durrant St close at 4pm on August 14.
